The initial focus of activities of “Equal Opportunity Centre” at North Lakhimpur College is to provide a solid grounding in interdisciplinary studies by emphasizing various aspects of social and cultural life in relation to other social divisions and inequalities like poverty, illiteracy, lack of independence, oppressive social customs and gender bias among the SC/ST/minorities & women students. The Centre is believed to play a vital role in academic progress through its short term course which will be commenced at the beginning of the session to help the SC/ST/minorities and women student of the college to build leadership, communication, decision making and problem solving skills.
